About GemTreeJapan

GemTreeJapan is a gemstone manufacturer and loose gem specialist founded in 2008, selling gemstones with our original cuts primarily online.

With an office and cutting workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, a city where countless gemstones gather from around the world, we directly select and purchase high-quality gemstones and rough stones locally. We then apply world-class cuts to create our finished pieces.

Both the founder of GTJ and I, the representative, are Japanese. Although based in Bangkok, we maintain a dedication to detail, what could be called a Japanese artisan spirit. We handle all processes related to gemstone production ourselves, including procurement, cut design, cutting, and polishing.

We also have an office in Gunma, Japan, and ship world-quality gemstones from Bangkok to Gunma, and from Gunma to all our customers.

While some may feel apprehensive about purchasing gemstones online, we strive to create an environment where even first-time buyers can shop with confidence, offering high-quality gemstones and cuts, photography that is as close to the real item as possible, detailed product descriptions, and post-purchase support and service.

We pour years of accumulated skill, knowledge, and passion into each and every step of the process, engaging with each gemstone individually. We invite you to fully enjoy GTJ's gemstones, born through a creation process that can truly be described as haute couture.

In addition to our production philosophy of maximizing the beauty of each individual stone, GemTreeJapan has another core principle.

That is to make high-quality gemstones as affordable as possible and deliver them to as many people as possible.

Our founder believes that "gemstones are created by the Earth and are, by nature, a free gift from the Earth."

Questioning the practice of arbitrarily placing high prices on them, he began this challenge with the desire to see if "high-quality gemstones could be made more affordable."

It is also an attempt to overturn the "given" that high-quality gemstones are expensive.

While this ideal is still a work in progress, GemTreeJapan is steadily moving towards its realization.

To make gemstones more accessible and available to more people – believing in this future, we continue our challenge.

Shipping costs for purchases made on the GemTreeJapan website, irmo.jp, are generally free within Japan.

For orders under 10,000 JPY, we use Click Post.

For orders 10,000 JPY or more, we use Yamato Transport.

For items stored at our Gunma office, shipping will be within a few days of your order. For items from our Thailand/Bangkok office, shipping will be approximately 1-2 weeks after your order.

Gemstones (loose stones) will be delivered in a dedicated gemstone case.

Additionally, all listed prices include tax.

We have recently started offering international sales through our BASE shop as well.

We ship internationally via FedEx from Thailand or Japan.

Delivery usually takes 7–10 business days, depending on the destination.
