Super-Brilliant Narika Round Cut

This Malaya Garnet, displaying vibrant pink and orange brilliance from a rich, reddish-pink body color, was fashioned into a round shape from an 18ct rough stone.

The crown side features a super-brilliant cut with a smaller table to maximize the number of facets, while the pavilion side employs a Narika cut, meaning "clock" in Thai.

Although I struggled with the shape for a rough stone that resembled a hexagonal cushion, as it was a thin type, I chose a luxurious round shape, also to slightly reduce the overall display size.

By using the sharp angles of the Narika cut and a smaller table, I eliminated any windowing effect.

The brilliance, like a second hand, is fragmented by the fine facets of the super-brilliant cut, resulting in a very delicate pink and orange play of color that is rarely seen in conventional cuts.

You can enjoy brilliance that spreads like a peacock's tail or sparkles like dragon scales.

There are faint fingerprint-like inclusions near the culet and sides, but they are so subtle that they are completely invisible to the naked eye and only discernible under a loupe.

The crystal's clarity is exceptional, and the orange-pink brilliance is adorned with colorful fire, making it beautiful.
