This unheated sapphire from Yen Bai in northern Vietnam has a deep blue background with silk inclusions.It is a reversible masterpiece by the founder of GTJ, with one side of the finely outlined fancy oval cut with a table and the other cut with a cube, revealing the shape of GTJ's original box.

Although it is not transparent, when you shine an LED light on it, a vivid royal blue color appears, and you can enjoy the crystalline structure and silk inclusions that are characteristic of sapphires.

The cube cuts created by GTJ have been very well received in the past, but this time he took on a new challenge by adding cube cuts to a fancy oval, and although this is a hobby piece created after the retirement of a great master, it is an ambitious piece that breaks new ground.
