This is a reversible piece made from a bright, gorgeous, and highly transparent unheated ruby from Madagascar that resembles a pink sapphire, with a neat oval shape and different cuts on each side.

The original BEFORE state was a faceted oval, but since it was not thick, we decided to boldly apply GTJ's original cube cut, which gives the appearance of a box, and a rose cut made up of only triangular facets to each side.

Although there are a fair number of inclusions overall, it is a highly transparent stone, with red accumulating around the outline of the oval, creating a light neon-like flicker of red, and a gorgeous pink sparkle.The shapes appear due to the reflections of the cube/rose cut surfaces, and the inclusions can also be enjoyed, making this an interesting and beautiful piece.

The inclusions were difficult to reveal, so the stone had to be redone several times before it was finally completed.

Rubies are by far the rarest and most valuable of all colored stones, and we believe this is one of the reasons why there are so few beautifully cut rubies.
