This is a rare, unheated sapphire from Burma, which the founder of GTJ purchased the rough stone in Sri Lanka and had it preformed locally.

The silk inclusions throughout the stone give it a soft and gentle blue appearance, and there are many diagonal layers of silk inclusions, which allow you to enjoy a fine luster like silk fabric depending on the angle.

There are small inclusions throughout the stone and one exposed area on the edge of the pavilion, but it is an interesting stone and does not detract from the impression of the piece.
