This is a rare unheated Burmese sapphire, with the rough stone sourced in Sri Lanka and pre-formed there by the founder of GTJ, a renowned expert.

The sapphire has an overall soft and gentle blue impression due to silk inclusions throughout, with numerous layers of silk inclusions visible diagonally, offering a fine, silk-like luster depending on the angle.

While there are fine inclusions throughout and one surface-reaching inclusion at the edge of the pavilion, these do not detract from the overall charm of this unique stone.
