This is a cornflower blue sapphire from Burma, which was preformed locally by a big name who purchased the rough stone in Sri Lanka.

The color saturation is extremely high, and in terms of richness it would not be wrong to call it a royal blue, but the silky texture and overall impression lead us to judge it to be cornflower, a stone with a wonderful depth and color.

The cut has been designed to bring out the full potential of the stone, while still creating a neat oval shape and retaining its weight to the maximum extent possible.

There is a rainbow inclusion near the culet, but due to the silkiness of the stone it is completely invisible from the front, and although it is exposed, it is kept to a minimum.

Although it is difficult to capture in a photograph, there are iridescent inclusions that sparkle like lily pads along with silk inclusions that appear from the side of the table on the crown side to the edge, depending on the angle, so this is a point that we recommend you enjoy with a magnifying glass.

There are other tiny inclusions, but they are so dense and silky that they are completely invisible to the naked eye.

Please enjoy the beauty of this color, which is on the border between royal blue and cornflower blue.
