This piece is a Nigerian sapphire, and its deep indigo color gives off a sparkle like the second hand of a Narika cut, which means clock in Thai, making it a must-have stone for those who love deep colors.

It has a regular octagonal shape, and the crown side features an evolved version of GTJ's original cube cut, which creates an irregular, three-dimensional shape, while the pavilion side features thin, sharp facets on all sides in a Narika cut.

Perhaps because it has a slight yellow tint, it turns slightly reddish when exposed to UV light.
