This piece is an orange-colored, unheated Padparadscha sapphire, which is so rare that it is hard to find anywhere else, and is a treasured gem of a great master, with a very strong orange color.

The color is a gentle orange with a slight hint of pink, but the color is evenly distributed and when you change the angle, a highly saturated orange appears.

Although there are some bubble-shaped inclusions, they are completely invisible to the naked eye and are an extremely high quality, beautiful crystal of over 1.5 carats .

Although he is a veteran of this field who retired after 33 years, he continued to focus on gemstone cuts from a time when few people cared about such things, and this work is a vintage piece with double Gira cuts that he was fond of making at the time.

The double glitter cut is an original GTJ cut often seen in the vintage era, in which the table is made small and as many facets as possible are packed in to create a sparkle that comes from within and also gives off a sense of sparkle from the gloss of the surface .
