This piece is made of orange Tanzanian spinel with a slight hint of pink, and is fashioned from the rough stone into a neat tapered shape.

The rich orange base color with good color retention gives off a linear sparkle of pinkish orange, and from the depths a deep orange luster and colorful fire flickers.

There is a white streak inclusion next to the culet, but it is such a beautiful crystal that it is completely invisible to the naked eye.

It changes colour under UV light extremely well and fluoresces red.

Enjoy this highly valued orange spinel in a relatively rare tapered shape.
