Introducing a large 2ct+ Malaya Garnet from Tanzania, a well-known source of garnets.

It features a long fancy oval cut with a precise flower cut outlining the girdle, giving it a dazzling brilliance.

It contains many very fine needle-like inclusions characteristic of Tanzanian garnets. When light is shone on it and viewed closely with the naked eye, the inclusions can be perceived, but they are very small and I believe they do not significantly affect the brilliance. You can enjoy the brilliance with the naked eye and the inclusions with a loupe or similar tool.

Depending on the time of day and light source, its appearance shifts between pink, purple, and beige. While not a true color shift, illuminating it with a penlight brings out a reddish hue, creating a different ambiance.
