We would like to introduce a large Malaya garnet weighing over 2 carats, mined in Tanzania, a well-known garnet producing region.

It is a long fancy oval that frames the girdle and features intricate flower cuts that give it a brilliant sparkle.

It contains many extremely fine needle-like inclusions, which are unique to Tanzania. You can see the inclusions when you shine light on it and look closely with the naked eye, but they are so small that we believe they do not significantly affect the brilliance. You can enjoy the brilliance with the naked eye, and the inclusions with a magnifying glass.

Depending on the time of day and the light source you view it from, the impression changes to pink, purple, or beige, and even though it doesn't quite go as far as a color shift, shining a penlight on it gives it a reddish hue, which creates a different atmosphere.
