This unheated sapphire from Burma was fashioned from a preform rough stone, and features a blue crystal with a cornflower purple hue and abundant layers of silk inclusions.

When light is shone on it, it develops a soft color and you can enjoy the luster of silk depending on the angle.

This is an interesting stone that sparkles pinkish orange when exposed to sunlight or filament light, and at over 2.6 carats, it's an excellent size.

There are other small inclusions besides the silk inclusions, but as the stone as a whole is beautiful, they are not too noticeable.
