This spinel is a character-up piece composed of a step cut on the crown side and a radial cut + window on the pavilion side, a cut commonly known as a "Nalika cut."

Nalika is a Thai word meaning "clock⏰" and is one of GemTreeJapan's cutting styles.

Its transparency is extremely high, with only very slight inclusions that take time to find even with a 10x loupe. Furthermore, it is almost impossible to spot them with the naked eye in this deep, beautiful violet loose stone, so there is nothing to worry about.

It can be said that this spinel has high stone quality, combining a sophisticated original cut with beautiful crystallization.

It is a relatively rare type that fluoresces green under UV light.
