This is an unheated ruby that was purchased during a visit to Vietnam in January 2024.

The vivid and rich base color is a blend of red and purple, and it gives off an intense neon pink sparkle that is typical of Vietnamese rubies.

This rare crystal has been luxuriously crafted into a fancy pear shape with a perfectly cut outline, making it a piece that can only be found at a corundum specialty store.

There are linear inclusions and a few tiny areas that are visible, but they are not noticeable to the naked eye, and the crystal is overall extremely transparent and beautiful.
