This is an unheated sapphire from Tanzania with an exquisitely beautiful color that resembles ruby, padparadscha sapphire, and imperial topaz.

Finished in a simple and very neat pear shape, this is a masterpiece that maintains excellent balance while maximizing the size of the stone.

The needle-shaped inclusions, common in Tanzanian stones, add interest without detracting from the sparkle.

If the pink were a little stronger, it would be considered a Padparadscha sapphire, a rare, beautiful color that is a mixture of red, purple, orange, and sherry shades.

The fluorescence is not strong, but it does react to some extent.
