This unheated sapphire from Luc Yen in northern Vietnam has a pale pink body color and silky grains throughout. The pavilion of the decagonal fancy round sapphire features a Narika cut, which means watch in Thai.

The stone has a soft impression, but it gives off a sharp sparkle that is almost metallic like the second hand of a Narika cut, and the combination of these opposite impressions is both interesting and beautiful.

In natural light, the silkiness is only slightly noticeable, but when you shine a light light on it, the silkiness becomes even more intense in the center, giving it a light pink color with a hint of orange and a purplish feel.

There is a white streak inclusion next to the culet, but due to the overall silkiness it is completely invisible to the naked eye.

Enjoy this silky stone, typical of Luk Yen, which has a beautiful, soft yet sharp sparkle.
