A light, as if woven from silk, gently shimmers within the stone.
This sapphire is an untreated crystal from Sri Lanka.
With silk inclusions running in all directions across its entire pale, gentle blue body, it is truly a stone that "houses silk."
It is finished in a flower-cut oval shape.
The combination of this cut, which brings out a soft sparkle, and the silk within the crystal,
creates an illusory effect, appearing as if a star is floating within (right edge of the table in the top image).
This phenomenon is an extremely rare feature, indicating the possibility that it could have been a star sapphire if cut into a cabochon.
Fine needle-like inclusions are layered in multiple strata, causing an elegant luster to emerge depending on the viewing angle.
Furthermore, the arrangement of silk, which "bends at 120°" characteristic of the hexagonal crystal system, can be observed,
allowing the growth process of natural sapphire to be visually enjoyed, which is a unique charm of this stone.
In addition to silk, small inclusions are visible, but the entire stone is enveloped in a silky luster, making them unnoticeable to the naked eye.
This untreated sapphire combines the gentle sparkle of the flower cut with the profound brilliance of silk, a fusion of natural beauty and craftsmanship.
Please enjoy its soft and deep expression firsthand.
