Unheated Sapphire 1.200ct
5.01×6.73×3.95mm
Origin: Kanchanaburi, Thailand
Oval
Cutter: Pia-chan
Comes with a sorting report (EGL simplified appraisal)
An unheated sapphire with a blend of blue and yellow, creating a greenish-blue characteristic of Kanchanaburi sapphires.
This is a beautiful crystal with shimmering silk inclusions on the table, cut into an elegant oval shape.
While Kanchanaburi sapphires are often associated with deep blue, lighter colors are also produced, and their unique soft hues and intense sparkle are among the characteristics of this origin.
Most sapphires undergo heat treatment, but this piece is a rare unheated example, with silk inclusion lines appearing diagonally across the table depending on the angle.
It's a substantially thick crystal, overflowing with fine sparkle from the precisely arranged step cut and the brilliant cut on the crown side.
It glows faintly red under UV light.
This 1.2ct-plus Kanchanaburi blue sapphire, finished with a classic cut that can be called the ultimate standard, is highly recommended for collectors.
