This is an unheated pink sapphire from Luc Yen in northern Vietnam, and its silky texture, neon-like orange sparkle, and interesting character make it a stone that is typical of Luc Yen.

It is finished in a neat oval shape, with a two-step cut consisting of triangles on the crown side and a flower cut on the pavilion side that gives it a delicate sparkle.

It has a slight silky feel overall, with some areas that are silky in places, which is cute.

Depending on the angle, the padparadscha color sparkles and gives off the feel of a ruby, making this a truly impressive stone.
