This long oval piece is made from unheated parti-color sapphires from Vietnam, created as a hobby by the retired founder of GTJ.

It has a complex particulate color that blends pink, purple, white, and blue, and is covered with orange inclusions reminiscent of bedrock, giving it an earthy power.

The pink-purple zones are slightly transparent, and the white zones are filled with silk inclusions, giving them a silky luster.

When exposed to UV light, the pink zone fluoresces relatively strongly, while the white zone fluoresces softly.

The shape is a long oval, with a reversible finish, with the crown side being a step cut and the pavilion side being a chess cut without a culet, making it a work of art created by the earth and artisans.

Because the stone is covered with inclusions, it is prone to crumbling and the inclusions are more visible, making it more difficult to cut than clean gemstones. However, a master cutter stayed close to Piacchan during the cutting process, providing guidance, making this a piece that can only be found at GemTreeJapan.
