This piece is made from an unheated padparadscha sapphire from Sri Lanka that is quite pink, with a blend of orange-pink padparadscha color and a slight purplish pink, and is finished in a neat cushion shape.

At first glance it looks like a regular cushion cut, but the step cut on the pavilion side is finer than usual, resulting in a perfectly balanced GTJ-style Sri Lankan cut, and it is beautiful with a delicate two-tone pink sparkle that is reminiscent of a flower cut.

There is a silky spot in the crystal, which is a nice accent. There is a streak-like inclusion on the side of the pavilion, but it is completely invisible to the naked eye.

When exposed to UV light, it fluoresces an intense pink.
