This is an unheated padparadscha sapphire from Luc Yen in northern Vietnam, with a bright and gorgeous orange-pink bodycolor covered in silky ingredients, making it a stone unique to Luc Yen.

The majority of the color is silky, but there is an interesting diagonal clear area in the center that looks like a color band, and when light is shone on it the blue tinge from the silky components becomes more purple, but the overall impression is that GTJ judges the color to be just about within the range of Paparatsha.

It is finished as a fancy trilliant with a contoured outline, and is filled with delicate and strong pink and orange sparkle that matches the silkiness of the flower cut.

There are very small black inclusions on the tip of the crown and on the pavilion, which are completely invisible to the naked eye. However, when viewed with a magnifying glass at certain angles, they sparkle.
