This is a rare, unheated sapphire from the Kashmir region of Pakistan, and is a type of slightly silky, purplish stone known as fuchsia sapphire.

Inclusions are spread throughout the stone, but this is unavoidable as Kashmir sapphires have a large number of inclusions to begin with; what is more noteworthy is the beautiful color that sparkles like a ruby.

It also contains layered orange inclusions that give it an orange sparkle, but depending on the angle it emits a strong neon pink like a ruby.

It is a sight to behold, with silky lines and pink lines running diagonally and rainbow-like inclusions.
