This sapphire was purchased in Thailand during a visit to Chanthaburi, a large gemstone market in Thailand, in April 2024.

The colour is typical of the Bangkacha region near Chanthaburi, and the mixture of yellow and blue creates a beautiful teal blue with a hint of green.

This stone has an interesting color scheme, with a rich blue that looks as if it was painted with a brush surrounding the central yellow, and it goes perfectly with the narika cut, which means watch in Thai.

It is regrettable that I cannot convey 100% of the beauty of this color, as it is extremely difficult to photograph, but when you look at it through a lens or with an LED light, the green becomes more pronounced, but when you view it with the naked eye in natural light, you can enjoy the beautiful greenish peacock blue.
