This spinel was fashioned from rough stones sourced in Luc Yen in northern Vietnam, and is an extremely interesting stone with lines of inclusions running diagonally across the deep orange-purple crystal.

This piece is classified as a megalith, approaching 7 carats, and has been finished as a fancy marquise with a neat flower cut outline.

Of particular note are the many inclusions running diagonally inside the stone; fine, needle-like inclusions overlap in lines. These are particularly visible when light is shone on them from the pavilion side, and the numerous lines shine with silver and rainbow colors, making for an extremely interesting sight.

There are other inclusions and slight extrusions, but since it is an interesting stone, it is not unpleasant.

When exposed to UV light it glows softly.
