Sphalerite from Spain, with orange and yellow brilliance accented by red and green fire.

While possessing the beautiful fire of a dispersion rate exceeding that of diamond, it is a stone type that is easily broken and scratched due to its perfect cleavage and Mohs hardness of 3.5-4.

Because of these characteristics, sphalerite is very difficult to cut, but this piece was carefully shaped and meticulously polished, resulting in a magnificent work of art.

The surface luster is of a precision not usually seen in sphalerite, and the overall facet work is highly accomplished, an unthinkable finish for such a difficult-to-cut stone.

The elegant octagon shape is adorned with delicate flower cuts on the pavilion side and GTJ's original octagon cube cut on the crown side, creating a three-dimensional form.

Although it is difficult to see at first glance, it is divided into orange and yellow zones, with a faint green color band in between, but the fine flower cuts make the color appear uniform.

The orange and yellow brilliance blends with red and green fire, emitting a colorful, vibrant, and strong sparkle. (Fire is difficult to capture in photographs and has more presence to the naked eye.)

There are extremely fine linear inclusions faintly present throughout the interior, with some minor surface exposure, but these are completely invisible to the naked eye and do not affect the sparkle or aesthetic appeal. It is a beautiful crystal with exceptional clarity.

Although it narrowly missed 1 carat, its sparkle makes the weight seem insignificant.
