This is a silky pink spinel from Tanzania, finished in the highly popular gemstone cut.

The stone has a uniformly silky texture throughout, making it a cute stone that is not too silky and has a delicate sparkle.

There is also a hint of orange in the sparkle, and when the silky components catch the light they take on a slightly purplish hue, giving the impression of a surprising range of colors in one stone.

When exposed to UV light it fluoresces a strong pink, and when exposed to LED light its silky texture comes to the fore.
