Aquamarine is the birthstone for March, and among them, those with beautiful, deep colors are called Santa Maria aquamarine, named after the fact that they were originally mined from the Santa Maria mine in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The Santa Maria mine has already closed, so aquamarines with similar deep blue colors are now called Santa Maria aquamarine.

This piece is a Santa Maria aquamarine from Vietnam, a beautiful crystal with a lovely blue color and excellent transparency with no noticeable inclusions.

The shape is finished in an elegant cut with more finely edged corners than a regular octagon, and the pavilion side features an irregular, intricate scissor cut, making it a stunning piece that stands out from the standard step-cut octagon.

The size is over 2 carats, which is sufficient and the color and cut make it a first-class product.
