This piece, typical of GTJ which specializes in corundum and focuses on cuts, is a rare Royal Blue Sapphire from Burma with a deep, velvety, purple-tinged blue, luxuriously crafted into a fancy oval.
From the silky, deep purple-tinged blue, the delicate sparkle of royal blue emerges through the flower cut.
While there is a pale color zone running diagonally from near the bottom of the crown-side image to the culet, contrasting with the rich color zone, it is quite difficult to notice when viewed from the front.
There are fine silky inclusions layered between the color zones, with three tiny surface-reaching inclusions on the crown side. However, these inclusions are barely visible even with a loupe, and given the quality of the stone itself, they do not detract from its value.
Please take this precious stone, with its exceptional fancy cut and velvety royal blue, into your hands.
