This deep purple Vietnamese spinel was created from a rough stone, and is an interesting and tasteful tapered shape with linear Hogboehmite inclusions that sparkle in rainbow colors when light hits them, running in all directions.

From the deep violet tissue purple background, linear sparkles with colorful fire run through depending on the angle.

When light is shone from behind the loose stone, the hegboehmite running in all directions becomes apparent, and when you look at it through a magnifying glass you can enjoy the rainbow-colored lines made up of overlapping fine needles.

This is a very interesting stone, with a strong color shift that makes it appear reddish when exposed to filament light.

There is an orange layer of inclusion around the center of the pavilion side, and although there are other small inclusions as well, it seems to contribute to its beautiful character.
