Capsule Oval

Piacchan's work

Sorting ( simple identification certificate ) included

This piece is made from purple sapphires sourced from Kanchanaburi, a sapphire mining town in western Thailand, and is finished as a fancy oval in a capsule shape with a finely outlined outline.

Kanchanaburi mine closed about 10 years ago, but the sapphires produced there are characterized by their blue, yellow, and purple colors. Purple sapphires are particularly rare, and we have never come across one of 0.5 carats or more in our past purchases. This is a precious stone that we were given by Big Boss Madam, the owner of the Kanchanaburi mine.

The beautiful crystals are a vivid purple with a hint of blue, and the overall appearance is slightly sleepy/silky, giving it the feel of Kanchanaburi.

When light is shone on it, the silky texture comes to the forefront, creating a fantastical atmosphere.

There are white streak-like inclusions on the table and sides of the bottom, and there are slight fingerprint-like inclusions near the edges, but this is a beautiful crystal that is completely invisible to the naked eye.

Purple sapphires in general are becoming increasingly rare, but purple sapphires from Kanchanaburi are extremely hard to come by, so don't miss this opportunity!
