While appearing almost completely colorless, the unique color of zoisite faintly emerges depending on the angle of the light, making this a particularly captivating gem among the rare "colorless zoisite" category.
Speaking with the founder of GTJ, who has been sourcing zoisite for many years, he mentioned that he has only encountered a handful of colorless zoisite stones, indicating that this is an extremely rare color practically unseen in the market.
Furthermore, this stone offers the valuable pink hues found in zoisite, with a soft separation between zones containing a reddish-violet color and zones with a very slight greenish tint, creating an elegant atmosphere with subtle nuances of two colors.
In addition to a refined brilliance predominantly white, delicate color nuances intermingle as an accent, creating a luxurious balance of color that allows you to enjoy both the transparency of a colorless gem and the unique character of zoisite.
The shape is a fancy oval with finely chamfered edges.
The delicate floral cuts on both sides create a charming spread of light, and the intricate facets around the table effectively compensate for the shallower proportion, bringing out a dazzling sparkle.
The crystal boasts exceptional clarity with almost no noticeable inclusions, ensuring superb transparency.
Since the interior of the stone is crystal clear, it captures light exceptionally well, and colorful fire flickers.
At first glance, it appears colorless, but upon closer inspection, the distinct characteristics of zoisite subtly reveal themselves.
Please enjoy this valuable and rare colored stone with "two-sided charm" in your hands.
[Nori-chan's Memo]
This zoisite is a stone I acquired a long time ago.
Thinking, "I want a colorless zoisite... but they're so hard to find...", I decided to temporarily adopt this particular stone, which is a very pale, near-colorless one, for my personal collection.
This stone has zones of reddish-violet and colorless areas.
The colorless part also has a slight hint of green, and I think it turned out to be quite beautiful.
Perfectly colorless stones, by definition, don't exhibit pleochroism, but this one shows variations in color intensity depending on the angle.
While I'd like to offer something even closer to colorless, the sheer number of such stones is incredibly small; I myself have only seen two so far, and they are extremely expensive.
Therefore, I believe this "near colorless" piece, which also displays colorless aspects, offers great value.
