This stone can be described as somewhere between a slightly orange fire opal and a water opal, with colorful and intense pinfire-like play of color, and is finished as a reversible oval with GTJ's original cube cut and chess cut that gives the piece a box shape all over.

Opals with outstanding facet cuts are rare and not often available on the market, and the play of color is also a major factor in determining their value.

This opal has fine iridescent pinfire color play.

In the video, the play of colors is subdued when no light is shone on it, but at night you can enjoy the beautiful play of colors by using indoor lights or a table lamp, even without shining any light on it, and the play of colors becomes more intense when you shine a light or direct sunlight on it.

The play of colors is clearly visible from the front, but is more noticeable when viewed from a slight angle.

Due to their specific gravity, opals appear larger than their carat weight and are very impressive.
