This is a malaya garnet of the triple-mixed type, exhibiting a dazzling, strong red.

The triple-mixed type is a solid solution of three varieties: pyrope/almandine/spessartine. However, the proportions are almost never even, with individual variations in ratio. Conversely, even a double-mixed type may contain all three in trace amounts.

Under indoor lighting, it appears as shown in the photo, but in sunlight, especially on a cloudy day, it takes on a brighter red, which can even be described as "orange-red."

This is precisely where the charm of gemstones lies: they can be enjoyed differently depending on the light source and environment.

The crown features a step cut with three facets that resemble a deformed cube at each corner, while the pavilion has a somewhat larger flower cut.

Although there are fine particulate inclusions, they are not visible to the naked eye even if pointed out.
