This piece is made from sapphires sourced from Kanchanaburi, a sapphire mining town in western Thailand, and is finished into an oval shape with a Gira cut, which has a smaller table and an increased number of facets.
As can be easily seen from the pavilion side, the light yellow background has blue color pools and bands, and when viewed from the front, the light, deep background color gives off a delicate sparkle of light blue with a hint of green.
It is a beautiful crystal with no noticeable inclusions, and does not have the sleepy feel that is typical of Kanchanaburi, but instead is filled with a delicate, slightly party-like sparkle due to the flower and glitter cuts.
Kanchanaburi sapphires have many inclusions to begin with, and it is said that only 1-3% of them are beautiful crystals, so this is a precious, beautiful crystal of over 1.6 carats.
Please enjoy this beautiful stone with its yellow-tinged blue color typical of Kanchanaburi and its unusual high transparency.
