A bright, greenish-blue sapphire from Kanchanaburi, Western Thailand.

This piece was crafted from a beautiful and rare crystal from a now-closed mine, cut into a fancy oval with a finely outlined rim.

A faint accumulation of blue on one side of the crystal's bottom gives it a beautiful shimmer with a party-like interplay of bright sky blue and greenish blue.

Though there are subtle silk inclusions, this is a beautiful crystal with no prominent inclusions, boasting exceptional transparency and a bright hue that gives it a very strong sparkle. The sparkle is almost metallic, and colorful fire is also present.

The fine sparkle overflowing from the delicate flower cut makes it feel as if the gem itself, beautifully cut, is bursting with joy.

This is a stone where you can fully enjoy the greenish-blue and intense sparkle characteristic of Kanchanaburi.
