This sapphire, from Kanchanaburi in western Thailand, has a sleepy, grayish-greenish-blue color typical of the region.

This piece features a fancy round cut with a finely edged outline, and a pavillion side finished with the Nalika cut, which means "clock" in Thai.

The crystal is silky throughout, and the pooling of blue color at the bottom creates an interesting expression with varying shades.

By giving the pavillion side a sharp, faceted Nalika cut, we've imparted a delicate sparkle to a thin crystal.

While it's not the type that glitters intensely, the soft texture of the crystal is adorned with delicate sparkles, giving this stone its unique charm.
