This is a rich, deep, and well-colored violet iolite, a beautifully crystalline stone that allows you to fully enjoy the unique qualities of iolite.

This piece was created from a rough stone, but it is an incredibly beautiful crystal that is not typical of iolite, which has many inclusions, and has been finished into a fancy oval with a bordered outline.

The dichroism, which is one of the characteristics of iolite, is not very noticeable, but when viewed from the side when placed in a case, the crown side appears to be a rich violet and the pavilion side appears colorless.
