Among green zircons, which often have deep colors, this crystal from Sri Lanka possesses a silky softness, transparency, and a vibrant yellow-green hue.

It is a piece crafted into an impressive cushion shape, weighing over 2.5 carats.

Unheated green zircons have different properties from other zircons, and are known for often having individuals that are extremely difficult to cut and polish.

In this piece, Piachan shaped the outline, and Puchan and Piachan each polished one side.

This is a unique piece, brought to completion through delicate adjustments such as reducing the rotational speed.

From the uniform silkiness that envelops the whole, a bright green sparkle emerges with a soft luster, and occasionally the powerful fire characteristic of zircon flashes vividly.

A faint brown inclusion floats in the pavilion, but it is hardly noticeable to the naked eye and rather adds to the depth of the crystal.

From certain angles, multiple growth lines appear layered within the crystal, giving a complex nuance to its sparkle and highlighting the soft, rich brilliance unique to the cushion cut.

Due to the silky quality of the stone, the yellow or green can become stronger depending on the time of day and light source, and the stronger the light, the bluer it becomes, showcasing a rich array of expressions.

Green zircons, which combine beautiful cut and silky color, are highly sought after and rare.
