This is a green beryl from Nigeria. It is a green beryl that is brighter than emeralds and typically gets its color from vanadium or iron.



This piece has been cut into a long baguette with excellent transparency. Despite its thickness, the color is a distinct green, and it has a metallic luster from the step cut.

Green beryl is essentially the same as emerald, and even transparent specimens like this one are quite likely to have undergone impregnation treatment. While we have not conducted such an inspection on this particular stone, you can assume that most Nigerian green beryls on the market have been impregnated.

However, unlike emeralds, the presence or absence of impregnation does not significantly affect the price of green beryl, so we believe it is not something to be concerned about.
