This is a green beryl from Nigeria. It is a green beryl that is brighter than what is commonly known as emerald, and its color is primarily due to vanadium or iron.

This is a single stone cut in a rectangle with a step cut. Please appreciate the beautiful sparkle emitted from its light, pale green hue.


Green beryl is essentially almost the same as emerald, and even highly transparent pieces like this one are quite likely to have undergone oiling/resin treatment. We have not performed such an inspection on this piece, but you can generally assume that green beryl from Nigeria on the market has undergone oiling/resin treatment.

However, unlike emeralds, the presence or absence of this treatment currently does not significantly affect the price, so we believe you don't need to be concerned about it.
