This stone has been a favorite of mine since it was a rough, with its silky overall appearance and a bright blue that hints at green and purple.

Despite having a color similar to unheated zoisite, it possesses the silky texture unique to sapphire. I particularly love the dignified presence of its long pear shape.

This fantastical stone features a gentle lilac hue softly spreading, as pale light blue and greenish-gray intertwine and blend. Depending on the angle and light, blue, green, gray, and lilac appear to shift and change, making this Madagascar sapphire a delightful piece to appreciate for its subtle nuances.

In its rough stage, orange film-like inclusions and layered inclusions were visible, but these were carefully removed while polishing it into a slender pear shape. Leveraging its substantial thickness, both sides were given a flower cut to bring out a delicate sparkle.

Greenish-gray gently lingers at the tip of the pear shape and on its rounded side, while blue and lilac intertwine in the center, creating an elegant and fantastical gradient.

The entire stone contains faint layered silk inclusions. When it catches the light, the rutile reacts with a sparkle, making it a joy to examine with a loupe. Some of the silk inclusions are thick, contributing to a rich texture.

The main inclusions are limited to lily pad-like inclusions visible at the tip, and overall it is a very beautiful crystal. With its cool, elegant, and unique coloring, this sapphire is truly a one-of-a-kind existence.
