Cornflower blue sapphires are named after the color of the cornflower, but this piece is a fairly bright cornflower blue sapphire from Sri Lanka that is uniform in color, and the table is made small and the crown side is covered with fine flower cuts to create a super shiny look. This is a single stone that was carved.

The blue hue with a hint of purple is beautiful, and the sparkle of the step cut on the pavilion and the flower cut on the crown are mixed together to create a beautiful, fine, high-resolution, smooth sparkle.

The color is uniform throughout, but when viewed through a magnifying glass from the pavilion side, faint color bands can be seen, giving it the subtle interest that is typical of sapphire.

It is a beautiful crystal with outstanding transparency, and although there are small layers and dots of inclusions near the edges, they are completely invisible to the naked eye.
