Searching for rare colorless spinels is a hobby of mine as Ilmo, the co-representative of the company, and this time I would like to introduce a beautiful crystal from Burma that I discovered in Bangkok.
To give you an idea of how rare colorless gemstones are, even if you ask stores or buyers that only handle spinel, almost none of them own any.
This time, I discovered it by chance when I was looking at a lot of near-colorless products.
While many spinel stones are subtly colored, this spinel is colorless with only a very slight hint of violet, and it is an extremely beautiful crystal with no inclusions visible even with a magnifying glass.
They often contain inclusions, and in this case too, the original gemstone was an oval of over 1 carat and had a noticeable inclusion, so we decided to boldly finish it in a round shape.
The fancy round flower cut that frames the stone sparkles brilliantly and is accented with colorful fire, creating a gorgeous, transparent beauty.
The fluorescence normally reacts with an indescribable reddish-yellow color when exposed to UV light that blocks visible light, but changes to a yellow-green hue when exposed to UV light that blocks visible light.
It appears yellowish when viewed through a lens, making it a very mysterious and fascinating stone.
Since I am currently focusing on Colorless as a hobby, I will be introducing it on a regular basis, but since I don't know when I will be able to see it again, please take this opportunity to get your hands on it.
