Umbrella Nari Car Cut
Piacchan's work
Sorting (simple identification certificate) included
This is a colorless spinel from Burma that has a slight grayish blue hue, and is an interesting and beautiful stone with transparent columnar inclusions that appear to be apatite.
This is a new cut with a fancy oval shape with a outlined outline, an umbrella cut on the crown side reminiscent of an umbrella, and a narika cut on the pavilion side, which means watch in Thai.
There is a columnar inclusion on the left side of the photo that appears to be apatite. Since it is transparent, it is hardly noticeable to the naked eye, but it is an interesting feature that we recommend enjoying with a magnifying glass.
There are no other noticeable inclusions and it is a beautiful crystal with excellent transparency, with occasional flashes of colorful fire.
When exposed to UV light, it emits a gentle green fluorescent glow, which is another charm of this stone.
Colorless spinel is a rare color that is extremely rare among spinels, and those with exceptional cuts are even more rare, so be sure to get your hands on one.
