We have been working on creating a new cut in which a flower cut floats on a buff top, and this piece is a new cut amethyst that combines the table cube cut, one of GTJ's original cuts, with a buff top flower.

Because the buffed top surface is not large, it is surprisingly difficult to tell at first glance what type of cut it is, but this actually helps to retain the typical gemstone-like appearance while subtly adding a glossy finish and the interesting sparkle caused by the lens effect, making it a truly beautiful work of art.

It is a highly transparent stone with no inclusions, and has interestingly shaped clusters of color.It is a beautiful amethyst-like purple that is neither too dark nor too bright, and has a high saturation.
