After the retirement of the founder of GTJ, he was handing over the business to me, Irumo, the co-representative. As the handover progressed, he left the Bangkok office to me and traveled around the country, but he sent me jewels to support me as I became independent from Sri Lanka.

This Madagascar sapphire has a refreshing green color like new buds.The original oval stone was finished into a fancy round Narika cut, which means watch in Thai, after the inclusions were removed.

It has a beautiful crystal with no noticeable inclusions, and emits a beautiful, sharp sparkle from the center like the hands of a clock.

The base color is yellow-green with a hint of bluish green, and growth lines can be seen all over the plant, giving it a painterly look.

Interestingly, this stone's impression changes depending on the light source; when exposed to fluorescent or LED light it appears a deeper green, but in natural light it gives off a bright, metallic sparkle.
