These sapphires were sourced from Kanchanaburi, a city in western Thailand famous for its sapphire mines.

This is a single stone in a deep greenish blue with a colored band running down the center, and the combination with the sparkle of the step cut makes for an interesting piece.

It has a sleepy atmosphere typical of Kanchanaburi stones, and the step cut gives off a linear sparkle from the greenish blue background, with a light yellow accent on the blue.

Although there are some small inclusions, nothing that is noticeable to the naked eye.
