Piacchan's work
Another incredible piece of work has been created by the hobbyist and founder of GTJ, who secretly sourced the items.
The number of Kashmir sapphires on the market is decreasing, but purple Kashmir sapphires are called fuchsia sapphires, and this piece is based on fuchsia sapphire and has deep blue ink dripping in from the edges, making it a very beautiful piece. It is also an excellent size at 1.6 carats, making it both interesting and rare.
It has a silky, veiled feel typical of Kashmir, and the purple mixed with blue gives off a beautiful orange sparkle.
This Kashmir sapphire has many inclusions, but with only a few bubble-type inclusions scattered throughout, it is a beautiful crystal.
It also has an excellent fluorescent reaction when exposed to UV light, allowing you to fully enjoy the changes that occur due to different light sources.
It is finished in a fancy pear shape with the outline outlined by the GTJ main cutter Piacchan, and although there are a few areas where the inclusion reaches the pavilion side, it is minimally blocked. (I was so engrossed in taking photos that I forgot to take a photo of the pavilion side.)
Please enjoy this masterpiece of unheated Kashmir sapphire, which has an indescribable coolness and beauty.
