This piece features a sapphire from Cameroon, a new source of sapphire, that has a rich, yellowish-green linear sparkle from the center and silky blue flanks.It is finished in an elegant ZB cut, with a finer outline than a regular octagon and the shape of a gem floating at the four corners.

The silkiness is evenly spread throughout, with a light, deep silky blue pooling at both ends, and a beautiful, linear sparkle of an indescribable yellow-mixed green running from the step cut in the center.

This stone has many interesting features, such as a blue color band running perpendicular to the table, brown streak-like inclusions, disc-shaped inclusions, and bubble-shaped inclusions in the same place, and a few brown inclusions on the edges.

When exposed to UV light, it fluoresces a faint pink in parts.
