A year has passed since the retirement of GTJ's founder, the purchasing craftsman, and the new GTJ has begun its second year.
Ilmo, co-representative of GTJ, has taken over in Bangkok, Thailand, and in order to proceed with sourcing and creating jewelry for new pieces with a renewed sense of enthusiasm, and to make a good break with the past, we are offering works by the previous generation of purchasing craftsmen at bold prices.
I hope you will feel the philosophy of GTJ when you hold in your hands this beautiful piece created by our predecessor with 33 years of experience in this field.

Because of its delicate color, its appearance changes between morning and afternoon, and of course depending on the weather.
This is a masterpiece with a noble deep pink background color of pink > red > purple, and GTJ's original Cube Cut applied across the entire table surface of 3 ct or more.
Please enjoy the mysterious and beautiful Malaya Garnet from GemTree Japan, even seeing the inclusions in the enlarged images.

From the slender necks of Abyssinian princesses to the powdered bosoms of Marie Antoinette, the garnet's enchanting aura has made it an enduring symbol of feminine beauty. The allure of this "Queen of Gems" captivates the imagination and beguiles the mind.
Garnet is not the name of a specific stone, but a general term for the entire family of garnets. Garnets exist in nature as solid solutions (a mixture of two or more types of garnets that have dissolved together to create a new compound), and are divided into 16 types based on their chemical composition, with only six of them being of gem quality.
1: Pyrope Garnet
2: Almandine Garnet
3: Spessartine Garnet
4: Grossular Garnet
5: Andradite Garnet
6: Uvarovite Garnet
・Red is "pyralspite"
・The green type is classified as "Ugrandite."

All garnet species share a basic crystal structure, but the elements incorporated into the structure vary slightly, resulting in a wide range of colors and properties (refractive index, specific gravity, spectral properties).
One of these, Malayan garnet, is a rose-pink or peach-colored spessartine containing pyrope and almandine. It is discovered near the Umba River in Tanzania and has the commercial name "Malayan garnet" (also known as umbalite).
