This is an exquisite piece with a noble, deep pink body color that shifts from pink to red to purple, and a 3ct. table surface adorned with GTJ's original Cube Cut.
Due to its delicate hue, its appearance changes both in the morning and afternoon, and of course, with the weather.
Please enjoy the GemTreeJapan Malaya Garnet, where even the inclusions, visible in the magnified images, are mystical and beautiful.
From the slender neck of an Abyssinian princess to Marie Antoinette's powdered décolletage, the captivating aura of garnet has been an eternal symbol of feminine beauty.
The imaginative allure of this "Queen of Gems" fascinates the mind.
Garnet is not the name of a specific single stone, but rather a collective term for an entire family of garnets.
Garnets exist in nature as solid solutions (a mixture formed when two or more types of garnets dissolve into each other to create new components) and are classified into 16 types based on their chemical composition, but among them, there are 6 main types that are considered gemstone quality.
1: Pyrope Garnet
2: Almandine Garnet
3: Spessartine Garnet
4: Grossular Garnet
5: Andradite Garnet
6: Uvarovite Garnet
・Reddish varieties are classified as "Pyralspite"
・Greenish varieties are classified as "Ugrandite".
The crystal structure of all garnet species is fundamentally similar, with slight variations in the components incorporated into the structure, leading to a variety of colors and characteristic values (refractive index, specific gravity, spectroscopic properties).
One such garnet, Malaya Garnet, is a rose-pink or peach-colored spessartine containing pyrope and almandine components, discovered near the Umba River in Tanzania. It is commercially known as "Malaya Garnet" (also called Umbalite).
